Havana is the meeting of the old with the new. Unrefurbished and refurbished cars of the 1940s and 1950s cruise constantly with hopes of picking up a fare. Except for the drivers the occupants are tourists taking a ride back in time.
The main square in Old Havana is filled with book venders. Some have added 33 1/3 LPs to their small stalls. One consistency is the books are very well used.
The cool ocean breezes are welcome after wandering the steamy inside streets.
